Description:
In 2006 Alfalfa was presented with the opportunity to re-design Connections. A quarterly magazine aimed to be the essential guide to life at New York City’s Grand Central Terminal. In addition to the overall creative and art direction, Alfalfa selected a typographic family; suggested a photographic style; developed a set of icons inspired by the architecture of the place; established a flexible grid that shifts according to the subject matter; and perhaps most importantly, we strove for an overall aesthetic that pays homage to what stands today as one of New York City’s most famous landmarks. Alfalfa’s editorial guidelines have allowed the magazine to appear rich, practical, and to evolve with every new issue. Connections is distributed at Grand Central Terminal.
