Description:
This 7-minute film was screened at AIA’s annual Heritage Ball in New York City on October 30, 2008.

A black-tie gala, The Heritage Ball is the primary fundraising event for the Center for Architecture. Over 1,500 leaders in the design, engineering, construction, and real estate communities gather to celebrate prominent honorees who have demonstrated exemplary dedication to improving the built environment of New York. In 2008, there were 4 honorees: Studio Daniel Libeskind, Daniel and Nina Libeskind, Owners; MaryAnne Gilmartin, Executive Vice President of Forest City Ratner Companies; Commissioner Shaun Donovan of the New York City Department of Housing Preservation & Development; and David Seltzman, Executive Director of the Robin Hood Foundation.
Every Person, Every Place paints a fascinating portrait of the honorees. Esquer’s interviews with them are woven with collage, motion graphics, and B-roll footage to create a compelling, kaleidoscopic look at their personalities, idiosyncrasies, and professional achievements.
