Description:
The guitar determines where the music will take you. That is what Lisa and Josué mean by Guitarrazón. It is the way or reason of the guitar.
Guitarrazón is a sensitive collection of 14 tracks, half of which are original pieces.
For the album design, Alfalfa Studio created an original pen-and-ink illustration inspired by the idea of “the way of the guitar.” For its starting point, the illustration began with elements of a guitar. But just as “the guitar determines where the music will take you,” Esquer let the guitar determine where the illustration would take him. He freely elaborated his elements as he listened to the tracks. The result was a fresh, vibrant composition, completed in only a couple of days and on a very limited budget.
In addition to the album design, Alfalfa also created a series of posters and postcards to promote Guitarrazón.
