You could expect this kind of intellectual sarcasm from someone older, but Pawel Kuczynski has been expressing deep socio-political issues in his characteristic visual style since 2004, when he was only 28. Not only are his wordless statements clear and biting, but the craftsmanship is just amazing; his talent and wit so unique.
Although their styles couldn’t be more different, Pavel’s work made me think of Luba Lukova‘s, which I’ve always admired. Visually, though, you can’t help see the influence of the rich tradition of Polish poster-making.
Pawel Kuczynski was born in 1976 in Szczecin, Poland. He graduated from the Fine Arts Academy in Poznan with a specialization in graphics. You can see (and purchase) more of his work here.
