All lovers of architecture and illustration will enjoy these whimsical portraits created by Brooklyn-based illustrator Paul Tuller. Inspired by some of the most prominent architects working today, Tuller asked himself “what would happen if these starchitects designed—and wore—their own hat?”

In the end, the Oakland, California native delivered a fun gallery introducing Mr. Daniel Libeskind wearing a hat after his Denver Art Museum; Dame Zaha Hadid sporting the Heydar Aliyev Center; and Pritzker Prize winner Rem Koolhaas’ China Central Television building.

Looking at these portraits, makes me wonder how would Tuller portray graphic designers and their iconic work. Some interesting pairings would be Paula Scher and her work for the Public Theater, the late Massimo Vignelli and his original NY subway map; David Carson‘s work for Ray Gun Magazine; or, while you are at it, throw my portrait and the Made in NY mark.
