The first time I saw his work was few days ago when I received a newsletter from ReMezcla, the online multi-city guide to local Latin culture in the U.S. Christian’s visual style immediately made me want to find out more. In this instance, the talented Mexican illustrator was commissioned to bring to life “Foul, Fatalities and Fervor,” an interesting article highlighting 11 iconic moments from Latino World Cup History. By the way, a must read for anyone interested in soccer history, particularly when the well-researched entry is masterly illustrated by Cañibe.
Christian is a Mexican graphic designer founder of the creative collective Eramos Tantos. In addition to illustrating for several online magazines like ReMEzcla, Christian has worked for Nike, Centro, and a number of small editorial houses and independent film distributors. He loves cinema and, obviously, fútbol.
Speaking of fútbol, don’t forget to tune in today to watch four great matches. I, for sure, will be rooting for Mexico, I hope you too. Go Tri!
