We can all agree that Typography is something ubiquitous in our daily lives. Typography helps us get to places, communicate, and get our ideas across. The art of typography has been noticed by big businesses including Miller Light. In their latest social media campaign, the beer company is hoping that type will help them boost up their business.

Since the growth of social media such as Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest, we keep encountering calligraphy or hand written type designs everywhere. Miller Light took notice of this and are preparing to launch an ad campaign promoting their brand through hand-written type posts. Through Labor Day, Miller Light will be posting paid ads and social media channels promoting their beer through this design visual.

Because the company knows the huge reach of social media, it has recently joined Instagram’s beta advertisement program to promote their craft beer. Quotes such as “As long as you are you” are expected to target audience ages between 21-34 who love beer. It remained to be seen if using trendy typography and lettering, Miller with reach type enthusiasts. What do you think? Will you will want to drink a miller light by seeing these typographic posts?
