I love visiting new places, but there’s nothing I hate more than being stuck on a lackluster plane for 10 hours. It is miserable, cramped, and boring. Now imagine you’re sitting in your seat, you pop down your tray and BAM! You are greeted with a stunning work of art. The Trap Art Project helps bring a spark of joy to the plane ride experience. Wieden+Kennedy New York, Delta Air Lines, and Coca-Cola collaborated to recruit 12 artists together to create whimsical, humorous, and colorful artwork for the previously bland trays on Delta airline. These 12 artists come from different ends of the world from New York City to Tokyo to Paris, gives different cultural perspectives.

Whenever artists and illustrators are given an opportunity to enhance a space with their creative vision, it fills me with excitement. In case you’re not flying Delta Air Lines, the artworks will also be exhibited at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Now instead of staring at a boring, gray tray for 10 hours, people can admire a colorful work of art, at least for a little bit.
