While taking a walk through Soho, it’s hard not to notice the Supreme logo stamped on every Hypebeast Kid clothing. Throughout the past years or decades, Supreme has become one of the most successful and iconic street fashion brands. What started in the streets of Soho NYC in the early 90s is now being used all over the world from artists such as Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Pharrell, Kanye West, and Drake. What makes Supreme one of the top brands is not only their collabs with other brands but also it iconic san serif logo.
In my opinion, Supreme has one of the nicest logos around. A simple san serif font (Futura) in italic surrounded by a rectangle is the reason many kids are going crazy. There is almost no brand I could think of that hasn’t collaborated with Supreme… Well, they don’t exactly have to collaborate with them… but they sure have been stamped on the supreme box! Before Supreme became a hit brand, they had been slapped with copyright infringement numerous times from big brands like Coca-Cola and Louis Vuitton. The box logo has had all type of brands fit their own pattern inside. High-end brands like Gucci and Coca-Cola have put a piece of their own brands inside this famous box.
The success has caused many international brands to want to collaborate with Supreme. Although years ago, they were trying to not be associated with this brand at all… **cough cough** Louis Vuitton who will be releasing their new collaboration soon. Although I’m not a big fan of Hype clothing like Supreme, major props to them for staying relevant for over 20 years. By the way, if you fall in love with the box logo after reading the post, good luck on getting your hand on any pieces with it. They are hard to get unless you camp out for it or pay a couple hundred. Check below to see a few of the popular logo collaborations and share your favorite.
