What kind of music poster do you have? Do you have a photographic one, illustration one, or a typographic one? Swedish graphic designer Victor Hertz has created pictogram music posters since 2011. He chose songs from various artists and genres representing them in a graphic form, including “Self Control” by Frank Ocean and “Bring the Noise” by Public Enemy.

Victor says “‘I try to be as simple and creative as possible, depicting the song titles in an unexpected way.” Yes, as he mentioned, these posters are grabbing the essence of the song, transforming it into a visual metaphor.

It might be fun to design your favorite songs in the way Victor does.
