International House of Biscuits, International House of Bacon, and the International House Booty are some of the few names surfacing on the internet in regards to what the new IHOP rebranding might mean.

Since 1958, IHOP (International House of Pancakes) has been serving customers from around the world their signature pancakes. Sixty years later, IHOP has announced that they will be flipping their “p” into a “b,” confusing the masses.

After revealing that they are changing their brand name, they have left this message in suspense by implying the date of June 11, 2018, as the day that we will find out what IHOB will stand for. Many have been left speculating as to why this is happening. IHOP’s Executive Director of Communications, Stephanie Peterson, released a statement saying:

“We’re serious about the quality of food and our menu, and this name change really reflects that.”

The only difference we see in their logo is the change of letters. However, even if they had released a new logo, no one would consider its new look important. The priority is: What does the controversial “b” stands for?

IHOb? What could it b? #IHOb

Today, I will be showing you some images a little different than what I usually share. These images are some suggestions of what this logo might mean.

My guess would be that IHOB means International House of Breakfast, although they already served that. I’m assuming they might want to expand their options on their menu. Either way, it’s definitely great advertising and promo when you have the whole country talking about your restaurant chain.

What do you think this new branding could mean? Some suggestions are funny like bitcoin, burrito, to broccoli. IHOP even released a survey for customers to choose the names meaning. Make sure to share your guess with us on Facebook.
