The Hip Hop community has changed dramatically in the last few years with new musicians popping up each day. Social media has really changed the music industry making it alot easier to become recognized but fame seems no longer permanent to some, so those who blow up in the industry may not be able to maintain their current status. To maintain their position as an artist they need to stand out more than the rest.

One artist that I became drawn to back in 2018 is @Aries. What drew me in at first was hes raw vocal talent and experimental backing tracks like nothing I have heard before. I find it hard to place his music into one genre, it has a wide range of influences, from Indie, Rock, Emo, Trap and R&B. Years before he started producing his own music, he gained a loyal youtube fan base which definitely kick started his career giving him a chance to succeed in the music industry.

Every song that Aries releases is self produced which adds to the fact of his music being unique and different. The biggest attraction to his music for me came when he released his music videos for his tracks Sayonara and Racecar. Just like his music he directed and edited the video himself. From an artistic point of view Aries music videos stuck out miles compared to present-day music videos.

Aries has now released his big debut album Welcome Home which did not disappoint! There are 9 tracks all together on the album, along with the music video for his track Bad News, which I believe to be his most artistically driven and most interesting one yet. Check it out below and give his album a spin. Enjoy!
