Alfalfa Studio: Why do you do what you do? And what would you describe your work as?

Wholesome Greentexts: First and foremost, I just want people to smile, I post happy and wholesome content so that if anyone’s having a hard day they can look at my posts and feel a bit better.

My work isn’t exactly the most creative, I go on 4chan which is an anonymous imageboard, and look for wholesome content, but I also focus on my audience. A majority of my time spent on this page is just talking to my followers, many of them are going through hard times and I converse with them whether they need advice or just a friend to talk to.

AS: Typically when people think of 4chan they don’t think of wholesome content. What are your thoughts on that?

WG: People are right, 4chan is a dark dark place but I feel like my page shows people that even in the darkest pits, there are some places that shine.

AS: How have people responded to the stuff you’ve posted? What’ve you learned from talking to your followers?

WG: A majority of the people on my page are really kind, and there’s always gonna be trolls but I’ve learned to ignore them. One thing I’ve learned from running my page is that everyone has a life just as complex and difficult as mine as while that may seem obvious, it’s something that I couldn’t really grasp for my whole life. I’ve also learned how to listen to people, I feel like today everyone wants to speak so nobody really listens and just wait till they can speak.

AS: What’re some of your favorite posts so far? Have you seen any changes in the sort of content you post?

WG: I enjoy all of my posts equally but I really like my posts that have the most likes because it lets me know that I’ve made more people smile.

As for my content, it really hasn’t changed much but if my audience wants anything different I’ll switch things up.

AS: The stuff you post has helped a lot of people; how has it helped you?

WG: It’s helped me work on my communication skills a lot, I’m a really introverted guy and I feel nervous while talking to anyone new, but just interacting with all of the people who message me and holding actual conversations with new people who I’ve never met before helped me step out of my bubble a bit more.

It’s also helped me look at everything in my life in a more positive aspect.

AS: What do you do outside of @wholesomegreentexts?

WG: Outside my page I’m just a regular kid, I go to school, hang out with my friends and try to finish my homework (the key word here is try). My hobbies include tennis, video games and playing the piano.

Thank you @wholesomegreentexts, very cool!
