As an avid Blackberry fan, it is sad that Blackberry may be at the end of the line. I’ve always been a blackberry fan because of their security features and design of their phones. Blackberry offered users a different option in the world of Android vs IOS, especially when Blackberry operated with Blackberry OS, before adapting Android on their latest phones.

For one, the design of the Blackberry Passport. I loved that phone! It was beautifully designed; sophisticated in it’s heftiness, and sized resembling a passport. The keyboard was soft to the touch and allowed for easy comfortable typing. The blackberry passport came in three different structure designs. Even though the phone was wide (as it is the shape of a passport) it was a sight to see. It looked and felt like a premium device built with high quality materials to sustain a few bumps and falls. Not many people enjoyed the design of the phone, some even joked about it looking like a grade school calculator. However, to me the phone stood out because it differentiated itself from its competition in the design. It intrigued me how the designers were inspired to design a phone that is similar to that of a paper passport, it was just incredible to me.

My second favorite design of the Blackberry devices are the Blackberry Key2 and Key2LE(similar design with little changes between them). I see the Blackberry Key2/LE as a younger sibling of the Blackberry Passport, almost similar in design but much slimmer in width and a little taller in height. The black, silver, and red editions for the Key2 appear sleek and also give a premium look and feel to the design of the phone. Even the colors on the Key2LE, slate, champagne, and atomic still keep the design of the phone looking premium.

It would really suck if this is the end of the Blackberry phones. Hopefully, another license to create Blackberry phones, would be given to another company to continue creating them. Time will tell.
