Meet Greg Young and Tom Meyers, aka The Bowery Boys. Together they have been bringing New Yorkers and people from all around the world the most interesting stories surrounding the history of New York. From the history of The Empire States building to the origins of the bagel culture in the city, their podcast travels through time and space to showcase the most intriguing stories. Masters of New York research, The Bowery Boys, compile hundreds of hours of academic and on-field research and present their audiences with fun and compelling podcast episodes.

The Bowery Boys started making their show in 2007 and have now more than 300 episodes with the most interesting and fun content that every New Yorker should listen too. Some of my personal favourites include Greenwich Village in the 60s, Blood and Shakespeare: The Astor Place Riot of 1849, Coney Island the Golden Age, amongst others.

I invite you to take this Lockdown times to get to know the city in a different way. The Bowery Boys Podcast is a resource that every New Yorker or tourist should have in their pocket, it has been my guide to getting to know the city in a more profound way.
