David Wojnarowicz was one of the artists that passed away due to the AIDS epidemic in New York in 1980s. He is well known for incorporating personal narratives influenced by both his struggle with AIDS as well as his political activism in his art.

In 1991, one year before David’s death, fellow artists Richard Morrison filmed David talking about his experience with AIDS and his thoughts about death. In “Bust” David opens a window to the thoughts and feelings about a dying man who is dealing with his imminent death and the social meaning of it.
