At Alfalfa Studio, we’re big fans of Stanley Kubrick, so naturally any artwork inspired by the great Master of Cinema gets our attention, like a new art exhibition at the Spoke Art Gallery in San Francisco paying homage to Kubrick with a diverse art collection inspired by his most popular films: Full Metal Jacket, Lolita, The Shining, 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, Barry Lyndon, Eyes Wide Shut, and Dr. Strangelove among others.
The show runs through September 27th in San Francisco and it is also available online. It includes over 75 new original paintings, sculpture and limited edition prints, all created exclusively for this exhibition. 60 artists were invited to re-imagine their favorite characters, scenes and thematic concepts from the great director. Check out some of them right here. Which one is your favorite?
