Iconic Typographer, Graphic Designer, and Painter Alan Peckolick left a legacy of iconic typographic work when he passed away this August. As a typographer, he created identities for a wide range of companies, like Revlon, Mercedes-Benz, and institutions such as New York University. At 76 years old, he never let his condition, Parkinson’s Disease, distract him from what he loved most: beautiful type. His wife Jessica, commented on his persistence and career to HuffPost:

Our mantra was ‘life is not a dress rehearsal. We really packed in and were blessed with a rich, full life. His disease never got so bad that he wasn’t able to do what he loved.”

His work and optimism will be remembered. If you take a look below, you will see the work he left behind that inspired many.
