New York City gallery, Spoke Art, presented the art-work show dedicated to the legendary Japanese animator, Hayao Miyazaki on September 29.
The exhibition featured art pieces inspired by Miyakazi’s cult Studio Ghibli films such as Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Howl’s Moving Castle and so on. Spoke Art commissioned works from over fifty artists around the world, showcasing a variety of mediums: prints, paintings and sculptures.
The show offered creative freedom for each artist’s perspective and interpretation of beloved characters as well as themes on Miyazaki’s films. In addition, the all of artworks were imbued with the legendary director’s sense of adventure, deep reverence for nature and strong female characters.
