The winners of the 2017 International Drone Photography contest were announced the other day via Dronestgram, a site for sharing some of the planet’s best scenery from a bird’s eye view. The contests were divided into 4 categories: nature, people, urban, and creative. All of the winning works are simply amazing, giving us a different perspective on how to see the world.
I personally enjoy drone photography, what is also known as orthodox photography. What makes drone photography special and fun is that it captures sceneries from a different perspective. You may be used to your neighborhood, fed up with the same old scenery. Once you take an aerial photo from above, you can grasp fresh images of that familiar place.
Due to the recent advancements in digital camera technology and quality of smartphone camera, the boundary between a professional photographer and an amateur might be getting closer and closer. Therefore, drone photography could become one of the solutions for professionals. They can give an audience a new way of seeing the world (and earn money).0
