Alfalfa Studio was presented with the opportunity to redesign Connections, a quarterly magazine aimed to be the essential guide to life at New York City’s Grand Central Terminal.
We strove for an overall aesthetic that pays homage to what stands today as one of New York City’s most famous landmarks.
In addition to the overall creative and art direction, Alfalfa Studio selected a typographic family; suggested a photographic style; developed a set of icons inspired by the architecture of the place and established a flexible grid that shifts according to the subject matter.
Alfalfa Studio’s editorial guidelines have allowed the magazine to appear rich, practical, and evolve with every new issue. Connections is distributed at Grand Central Terminal.
