Alfalfa Studio’s brainchild company, alfalfa New York’s next collection features Seven Latin Divas. A series of posterized images of seven immortal women from the worlds of film, art, music, and politics. In style, this collection is reminiscent of the statuesque image of Che Guevara that instantly deified him as a symbol of defiance – and later as an icon of radical chic.

Alfalfa New York is currently taking votes for the most popular Latin Diva from alfalfa seeds fans. In the running are Carmen Miranda, Celia Cruz, Evita Peron, Frida Kahlo, María Félix, Rocio Durcal, and Selena. Currently leading the polls is María Felix, a Mexican actress and one of the icons of the Mexican cinema. María was born in Sonora, Mexico. She became a star in the 1940s and was known as “La Doña,” after her character in Doña Bárbara (1943). Her iconic status in Mexico has been compared to that of Marilyn Monroe, and her love life was as newsworthy as her film appearances. María died in April 8, 2002 in the age of 88.

Along with the release of the next collection, alfalfa studio will design a special limited edition product for the winning Diva. Who is your favorite diva?
