The Museum of Online Museums is a website that features a long list of links to museums and galleries on the Internet. The site, maintained by Coudal Partners, a design and advertising firm in Chicago, has so many links that it has an annex. Some links take you to the websites of real museums—the Museum of Modern Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Most lead to more obscure online collections.

One of the curatorial standards in use at The MoOM goes like this: “One is a thing. Two is a couple. Three is a set. Four is a collection.” Not particularly selective, you might think. Well, that’s precisely the beauty of it: with a completely open mind about what actually ‘belongs’ in their museum and no storage space concerns, the curators at MoOM are able to include collections like Truck Spills, the Speech Accent Archive or the Museum of Questionable Medical Devices.

It’s Saturday, pals—take some time to explore, look around, and tell us which are your favorite collections!
