Today’s inspiration comes from Gijón, Spain. Design studio Atipo pays homage to classic and future classic movies with this graphic campaign for Mubi, an online cinema, and community for film fanatics. The concept of Mubi is a new business model consisting of screening one great film every day for a small fee.

The graphic design is based on the concept of vintage postage stamp images, with mostly monochromatic palettes, using extreme contrast and retro fonts and ornaments. An appropriate visual solution since most films, like great stamps, are collectible and have a cult following. I was happy to see that “Léolo,” one of my favorite films of all time, is part of the campaign.
