Russian illustrators Alexey Lyapunov and Lena Erlich have recently completed an intricate creation for the Amnesty International Fan a Flame campaign. The Illustrator pair use paper sculpture as their medium of choice and totally have made it their own; with a portfolio packed to the brim with incredible paper sculptures that look as though they have been molded using clay rather than simply folding sheets of paper.
The unique sculptures, made entirely from folded paper, depict acts of violence and brutality that Amnesty International aim to extinguish from society. The images give off an understated poignancy that feels suited to the effect of the white paper medium.
Check out Lyapunov and Erlich’s portfolio to see more of their impressive paper sculptures.
