Developing opinions on future directions of brands and companies, looking for new media techniques and tools, identifying achievable and smart long term goals are the things that are important for steady growth. These are the tasks that a design strategist undertakes, usually in the field of business.

Having a deep interest in this field, I found some great resources online which are worth sharing. Design Strategy blog written by Randy Deutsch has just a few posts, but they are great and insightful, with bunch of information for further reading. His essay on Building Information Modelling is worth taking a look at.

Strategy is an essential part of any brand. Interbrand knows it best. In 2012, Interbrand CEO, Jez Frampton moderated a panel at the World Business Forum that featured guests from Adobe and Nissan, where they talked about their brand value and strategy.
