Ok, we are all familiar with coffee cups from big franchises such as Starbucks, Gregory Coffee and Juan Valdez, and they are pretty boring. In fact the best design I’ve seen on a paper coffee cup remains the Anthora, you know the traditional Greek inspired blue cup you get in many delis in New York City.

I was excited when I found these interesting cups designed by Armenia based Backbone Branding design studio. For Gawatt take-out coffee, they came up with a really cool ‘interactive’ design. Customers can change the face expression of their cup character by turning the exterior sleeve!

Wouldn’t it be fun to be able to express your own mood as you drink your coffee? What do you think? Would you like to have these cute cups instead of the plains, boring and overly branded ones that seem to be taking over the world.
