Coca-Cola may be known as “happiness in a bottle,” but Fabio Pantoja reminds us that it is definately not happiness once it is outside the bottle.

Fabio Pantoja is a Nicaraguan artist with a focus on Illustration, Branding, and Typography. After reflecting upon the amount of sugar he intakes through caffeinated and soft drinks, Pantoja researched and learned about the many health problems soft drinks cause to one’s internal organs. Such revelation inspired him to create “Uncover the Truth“, his redesigned version of the infamous Coca-Cola logo in order to encourage others to reflect on how they are directly affected.

Using Adobe Illustrator, Pantoja created a detailed, anatomical Coca-Cola logo that directly and clearly informs the audience about the health risks and dangers that come from drinking this carbonated soft drink. I know I’ll think of this the next time I’m buying or ordering a drink…it really is a powerful design!
