Opening tomorrow is the work of Mexican artist Andrea Arroyo. An outdoor exhibition of site-specific works created during Andrea Arroyo’s Artist Residency at the Morris-Jumel Mansion, the first of its kind for the museum. Visitors can engage with the artist as she works on-site through her residency, creating new pieces to be incorporated with the house’s façade and within the garden.

Exhibit and programs are free and open to the public. All programs are subject to change, please visit the artist’s website for schedule and updates.

6/19, 1-2:30pm: “Live Art & Live Jazz, with Andrea Arroyo and Jazz Legend Ms. Marjorie Eliot”
6/26, 1-4pm: “Open Studio with Andrea Arroyo”

About the artist:
Andrea Arroyo is an award-winning visual artist whose work includes painting, drawing, illustration, site-specific installation and public art. Widely exhibited, Ms Arroyo’s work is included in private and public collections around the world. Her honors include New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowships, Global Citizen Award Artist, Clinton Global Initiative, 21 Leader for the 21st Century and Outstanding Woman of New York. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker and The New York Times among many other publications.
