Yayoi Kusama has unveiled new artworks in her latest exhibition Yayoi Kusama in the Victoria Miro Gallery in London. Through pattern and repetition, Kusama’s new works reflect her lifelong preoccupation with themes such as infinite and sublime, as well as personal obsession.

Known for her multi-disciplinary work, it’s no surprise that Yayoi Kusama includes pumpkin sculptures, new paintings, and three new mirror rooms. One simply can’t get bored while exploring this exhibit. One mirror room is entitled “All the Eternal Love I Have For The Pumpkins” and holds a seemingly infinite amount of yellow pumpkins decorated in Kusama’s signature dots.

I find the mirror rooms mind-boggling. Just looking at pictures, it seems as if dots are multiplying, the rooms are expanding, and infinities are reached. I also love her funky, bronze pumpkin sculptures.

If you happen to be in the London area anytime from May 25 to July 30, stop by the Victoria Miro Gallery for some dots, pumpkins, paintings, and infinities!
