For Syrian-American designer Rima Massasati, helping Syrian refugees is a matter of design. Through her new poster series and an Indiegogo campaign, she’s raising money for food, medical assistance, and blankets for the refugees in the camps in Greece.

Rima volunteered as an art teacher in the refugee camps for several weeks in 2016. When she returned to NYC she created 4 Corners, which was inspired by the four corners of the blankets refugees desperately need. The project is an Indiegogo campaign where donors are thanked with the beautiful new posters designed by Rima. This new poster series is inspired by traditional Syrian mosaics, calligraphy, and sculptures in order to convey the stories of these refugees.

Rima’s 4 Corners is a clever example of how design can help and contribute to issues of great social impact. You can support 4 Corners here.
