Did you see how La La Land took the Oscars for best picture? Oh, wait, no, it was Moonlight. I guess another year and another Steve Harvey move pulled out on the tv audience. This year it was presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway who mistakenly awarded La La Land the Oscar to later retract and give the award to the Moonlight production team. Either way, all the nominees are still winners just for the simple fact that they were taken in consideration to compete for such prestigious award. There is no better way to celebrate this than through art and Shutterstock took an initial on this.

As we all know Shutterstock is known and has a big reputation for their visuals. This stock photography website will be adding a few more images to their collection of over 90 million images and trust me they look quite interesting. After knowing the Oscars nominee for best picture, the creative team in Shutterstock decided to take on pop art challenge. In this challenge, each of their designers chose one of the 9 nominated films and reinterpret their own poster. Each poster plays around with pop color and was based on a style from an artist that inspired the designer personally. Of course, the one behind these nice posters didn’t have trouble collecting images when they happen to have access to over 90 million images.

The final posters ended up looking great, and dare to say that even look better than the original production team. I guess it’s just great to see a fresh take on these film posters where the ideas are not restricted, they end up looking like the designer had a lot of fun. One thing for sure is that you’ll enjoy this set of thought-provoking fun posters.
