In Japan, every kid must grow up with their own favorite manga (comics) magazine. We Japanese can’t live without manga. No manga, no life.

Shonen Jump, the magazine which is a weekly manga anthology published in Japan, turns 50 this year, and they’re celebrating by giving Tokyo commuters something to look forward to in the morning.

The magazine has created unique posters for each stop on the Tokyo Metro subway line, which has a total of 171 stations. The posters depict famous characters and scenes from Jump’s 50-year history. In addition to the 171 posters, Shonen Jump is also holding a stamp rally at 20 Tokyo Metro stations.

The touch and tone of manga is totally different from those of comics in the U.S and it might be interesting to contrast each other.

If you want to see the all of the posters, you can check this one.
