Edel Rodriguez Announces New Exhibit “Agent Orange”

As we embark at the end of Donald Trump’s first year as president, you will find it difficult not to think about the editorial illustrations created by Edel Rodriguez. Advertising agency, Wieden+Kennedy and Edel Rodriguez have teamed up to present a collection of all of his images of Trump in a new exhibit called “Agent Orange,” in Portland, Oregon. On January 25th, there will an opening reception exhibiting the many images by Rodriguez for many pivotal publications documenting American politics such as Time Magazine and Die Spiegel. All of his illustrations that will be exhibited were created between the 2016 primaries until now.

If you are in Oregon this month will be a fantastic exhibit to go to reflect on the changes that our country is experiencing and the creative narrative that Rodriguez has built up over the last year.

AGENT ORANGE Works by Edel Rodriguez Wieden+Kennedy | Portland Opening Reception, January 25th, 5:30pm I’m very honored to have been asked by the Wieden+Kennedy ad agency to have a show of my work from the past two years at their agency’s main gallery in Portland, Oregon. The show will open next Thursday and consists of numerous of works from the beginning of the 2016 primaries until now. This is the first exhibit that will be showing all of my artwork and magazine covers about the 45th president of The United States. About a year ago, I began to think that this work could be collected in a book. The title that came to my mind for such a book was “Agent Orange”, a toxic orange chemical in the body of a Russian agent. The book will hopefully come one day, for now we have the show. Signed prints of this image, a combination of many of my well known images, will be available at the opening, with a portion of proceeds going to refugee causes.
