What do you think of mini books, the new trend in book publishing? I think they are pretty cute and practical but it will take some time for me to get used to flipping pages upward. It feels like a combination of reading a book and scrolling through digital gadgets.

This month, Dutton, which is part of Penguin Random House, began releasing its first batch of mini books, with four reissued novels by the best-selling young-adult novelist John Green. —Alexandra Alter on October 29, 2018, New York Times

Even though it definitely is a new and interesting way to read books, I am not sure how successful it will be, but I still find it pretty innovative. I’m sure this new idea will not entirely change the way people read, but I can see these mini books being displayed as colorful items in interior design. I also picture them displayed on a wooden shelf at a sun-lit cafe.

Considering regular books are quite pricey, mini books come at an attractive cost; it is sold $12 each, or $48 for a boxed set. So, it can be a good gift set as well. What do you think. would carry a mini book in your pocket?
