As Golden Globes took place about a couple weeks ago and it’s almost time for Oscars, this season of the year always makes me want to watch movies. I have been watching my favorite movies every night lately.
GATTACA is one of my most favorite movies, and I guess that I have watched it over a hundred times already!
It’s a science fiction film in 1997, starring Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman with Jude Law in a supporting role. The story is about genetic selection for human in a future society, and the futuristic cinematography is very fascinating.
My most favorite part of the film is the title sequence, which was designed by Michael Riley, the creative director at Shine, a design and production studio in LA.
The sequence just shows the microscopic images of human hair and nails, and this beautiful less than two-minute sequence represents the feeling of the whole film nicely.
If you haven’t watched this film yet, try it this weekend!
