These past weeks have been very difficult for many of us. In a blink of an eye, we saw how the COVID-19 affected the lives of many all around the world. This dangerous epidemic has taken the lives of many and put everyone at risk of contracting it. With now actual vaccine to fight it, the only solution relies on our hands, us the citizens. Two keys factors to defeat this virus and flatten the curve: stay at home and practice social distancing. These past weeks many of the top global companies have to sympathize with this global issue and promoted social distancing through their logos.
Brands like Nike, Mc Donalds, Volkswagen, Coco-Cola have been tweaking their branding and ads to tell the masses that it’s important to distance yourself socially. For example, Mr. Donalds separated their golden arches while Audi distance their iconic intertwine circles. Nike went as far as tweaking their social media campaign with message play inside and join the team along with iconic athletes to defeat the COVID-19. Might look simple but when it comes to branding the rules are to never tweak the logo. Seeing most of these iconic brands actually play with their logo for a good cause means that their message is important. Please stay at home.
Before I finish I want to send a big shout out to all the first responders, healthcare, grocery, supermarket, sanitation, delivery, Randall other workers providing us their essential service. Let’s make their lives easier and try to flatten the curve. To many this epidemic, we are going through might seem an exaggeration but let me tell you it is not. Throughout the weeks I have seen friends contact this virus who are now in serious conditions and its sad to see people not taking it seriously. Let’s open our heart and care for the elderly, the people with health conditions and also for our health care worker and stay at home.
