There’s been a lot of talk about educating ourselves about racism; several media outlets like Vogue, Refinery 29, etc. have been putting together efforts in gathering endless resources to understand the deep roots and origins of racism in America. It’s great that these outlets are trying to help their audiences get educated. However, it’s about time that we support Black media outlets, Black literature, and Black culture in general. So we wanted to recommend a list of books to educate ourselves that comes from a bookstore that has been working on bringing awareness to racism and social issues for years.

Revolution Books is located in the heart of Harlem at 437 Malcolm X Blvd. It is a mix of an activist hub and a bookstore. And they’ve put together a list of essential books to understanding racism in America, here are some of them:
