As you may know, as a studio that specializes in branding we are always paying close attention to this field. Personally I have a weakness for sports branding, especially football. Many athletes have been able to get themselves a Branding that has helped them carry their image across the world. A curious thing I noticed is how underrated boxing logos are, especially since one of the highest-paid athletes in the world is Mexican boxer, Canelo Alvarez. Today I would like to share some of the top boxers brandings, some looking nice and others needing a serious makeover.
Boxing branding may not have that much exposure due to the sport lacking iconic fighters (although now there are many up and coming stars) or because little importance is given to the logo design. It’s surprising because many of these boxers have secured deals with brands like Jordan, Under Armour, and other iconic sporting brands yet they lack being visually pleasing. Some of these boxers also seem to not know how to market themselves in terms of where and how to use their logos. Although Canelo and Gennady Golovkin might not have the best branding, they have done a good job of using their branding to sell their merchandise. Let’s not forget how Floyd Mayweathers iconic TMT brand has expanded all over the world.
There are cases like Mikey Garcia and Sergey Kovalev who have the fan base and are exceptional boxers yet lack having visually appealing branding. Most of these boxers like prospects Ryan Garcia, Teofimo Lopez, Vergil Ortiz have the potential to develop a brand that could hit different markets. See below a few of the boxing logos I was able to explore. Like always Alfalfa Studio is open to help out any athletes with their branding!
