The beauty of football relies on the fact that it has no ages. This is the case of Danubio FC, a team from Montevideo, Uruguay. With a dream of having their own football team, Danubio was created by a group of school children from the Republic of Nicaragua school. Being the only school in town, the greatest promoters to form this club were Miguel Lazaroff along with the brothers Alvaro and Armando Olivera. 

Danubio was named by the Mother of founder Miguel Lazaroff, who was of Bulgarian descent; it paid homage to the river that crosses her homeland country. Right after the colors of the club were born through a white with black vertical stripe jersey, suggested by Alcides Overla. It was in 1936 that the first record of the a horizontal stripe jersey was made; this would lead to the first emblem of Danubio. The crest was born by the end of the 1940s, which reflected the jersey. The black and white badge included the acronym along with the symbolic horizontal stripe. These two elements have been consistent since its founding and have lived through the ten times the badge has been modified. The horizontal line that has been the iconic symbol of Danubio, that so that the club is known as, La Franja (The Stripe.)
