What payment options are available at Alfalfa New York?

Will my credit card be charged immediately when I place an order?
No. Your credit card will not be charged until your package has physically left our facility.
Can I cancel my order?
If your order has not been shipped, we can cancel your order. If it has been shipped, it will then become a “return.” Returns will receive a full refund, minus a $2.00 processing fee.
Can I add more items to my order after my order is already placed?
Yes. Send us an email at customercare[at]alfalfanewyork[dot]com or call (646) 290-7271. If you contact us before 3:00pm EST, we can add or remove items from your order.
I want to send an order as a gift to someone. Can you leave out the invoice?
Sure thing! We’ll even include a special note for you. Just let us know in the “Customer Notes” section during the checkout process.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! Gift certificates can be ordered in any amount. To purchase one, please email customercare[at]alfalfanewyork[dot]com. The recipient you designate will receive an email from Alfalfa New York with a gift certificate code redeemable only on our website. Please be sure your recipient has a valid email address.

What’s the cutoff time for you to ship my order on the same day?

How will I know when you’ve shipped my order?
After you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation email at the email address you provided in your profile. After we ship your order, you will receive an email confirming shipment. If there are any issues with your order, then we will contact you directly.
Can you send me a tracking number for my shipped order?
No. We ship by United States Postal Service, and they do NOT provide a tracking service. However, we can offer a Delivery Confirmation number on packages shipped within the United States via Priority Mail, or a label number for packages shipped outside the United States via Global Priority Mail.
Does Alfalfa New York ship to my country?
We continue to extend the list of countries we ship to. If your country is not included on our ship-to list, please email customercare[at]alfalfanewyork[dot]com and tell us your country. Ultimately, our goal is to ship to any country in the world that has a functioning postal service.
Are importing fees covered by my international shipping payment?
No. Importing fees are the responsibility of the purchaser. Only some countries charge importing fees. If your country is one of them, your local post office will hold your order and notify you of the fee due.
Will the postal service open my package for customs inspections or other reasons?
We cannot guarantee that postal inspectors will not open your package. However, we do our best to give them no reason to open it, so that the risk of damage is minimized. One important step we take is to affix the invoice/packing list on the outside of the package in a clear plastic envelop, where it is easily accessed by postal and customs inspectors.
What is the “Pick Up” option listed under “Delivery Method” during checkout?
If you are in New York City, you can pick up your orders here at Alfalfa New York. Select this shipping option and be charged nothing for shipping! Please contact us to make an appointment prior to picking up your order.
